Cho in the Rye
Massacre at Virginia Tech?
What would cause this dude to go berzerk? What were these “ultra-violent” plays and short stories about that apparently were too shocking for the english department of his university? What was the message in his suicide note? I’ve wanted to start a band called ‘suicide note’ before by the way.
I got this off cnn.com :: “
Cho left a long and vitriolic note in his dorm room, law enforcement sources told ABC News. It contained an explanation of his actions and states, “You caused me to do this,” ABC News reported.
It also railed against “rich kids,” “debauchery” and “deceitful charlatans” on campus, according to the Chicago Tribune.
“
It sounds like some serious Catcher in the Rye stuff to me (‘phonies’, ‘rich kids’ etc). Suicide notes are so fucking selfish. If he really did wanna fuck people over then he should have just done it and not said shit. Fuck the final message from the grave bullshit. Say it when you’re alive, have the fucking balls to spit out your convictions, and if you feel the need to snuff it then just fucking do it. ”long and vitriolic note” sounds more like mental masterbation.. more like a good hearty ego jerk-off than anything else.
My first response when I saw his picture was FUCKING CHINA! But then I found out the dude was South Korean so I my anger against the Chinese went back under the surface. I guess that his frustrations must have overwhelmed his ability to cope with them (no shit – right!?). Turn that shit into art dude… oh wait, I think thats what he did and was ostracized for it. Well fuck, I can’t figure it out. I mean I can, but I want to know more.
I just hope that the annoying useless emotional-argument media whore fatfuck Michael Moore doesn’t get back on his soapbox after this one. I get so fucking fed up with every slovenly hollywood liberal turning human nature into an argument against the ownership of guns or somehow blame it on Bush or the myth of global warming.
If you are in the mood for a murder rampage cake with a suicide cherry on top then kill some fuckers that will really make people shit their depends. Don’t waste my afternoon reading about the culling of more cattle, the news is already bullshit enough.
Because this blog may sound a little rough to some peeps I decided to go online and get a FBI profiler to see what celebrities Cho (the murder spree winner) looks like – I think we all have a spirit link with everybody on our celebrity collage. Sometimes I am more one personality than another, but I am undeniably all of them all the time. You are too, that’s how a spirit-link works! That way when I go on a rampage and die I can be reborn into the mind of one of these people even if they are already dead (as long as I kill enough people to create the crystal energy required for harmonic vibration 13 red). If they are dead then I have to claw my way out of the grave (bad) but I get to roam the earth in search of brains as an undead zombie (good). If they are still alive then I get to be a celebrity (really good). YAY!
I put up the two plays written by the VA Tech murder machine in the Thoughtcrime section. They are entitled ‘Mr. Brownstone’ and ‘Richard McBeef’ and are very short (so as you don’t strain yourself). Anyway, they are less than inspiring. In fact they hardly seem at a college level at all, I think they are pretty comical though. I don’t think that they were intended as a threat or anything else. Hahah.. When he stuffs that banana cereal bar into the dudes mouth I had some funny visuals.
All these sappy weak motherfuckers out there are saying all this crazy shit about how these plays are warning signs, well thats just bullshit. I’m sure a thousand college students turn in a thousand ‘disturbing’ plays and stories and papers every day. The point of college is a consequence-free place for people to learn and grow and refine their art and knowledge…take chances… explore the bounds of ‘normal’ and ‘appropriate’… if these assholes had their way people like David Lynch and even more mainstream peeps like Tarantino would be locked away in Arkham Asylum.
Here is the wikipedia notes on Catcher in the Rye just to give you an idea of how narrow minded people can rage against stuff that is beyond cool.
”
The Catcher in the Rye is a novel by J.D. Salinger. First published in the US in 1951, the novel remains controversial to this day for its liberal profanity and portrayal of sexuality and teenage angst; it was the thirteenth most frequently challenged book of the 1990s according to the American Library Association.
The novel has become one of the most famous literary works of the 20th century, and a common part of high school curricula in many English-speaking countries, such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Around 250,000 copies are sold each year, with total sales of more than 60 million.
The novel’s protagonist, Holden Caulfield, has become an icon for teenage alienation and fear. Written in the first person, The Catcher in the Rye relates Holden’s experiences in New York City in the days following his expulsion from Pencey Prep, a college preparatory school.

the controversy:
“
The Catcher in the Rye has been shrouded in controversy since its publication. Reasons for banning have been the use of offensive language, premarital sex, alcohol abuse, and prostitution.
Mark David Chapman, murderer of musician John Lennon, was carrying the book when he was arrested immediately after the murder and referred to it in his statement to police shortly thereafter. John Hinckley, Jr., who attempted to assassinate President Ronald Reagan in 1981, was also reported to have been obsessed with the book.
Critics see Holden as a disturbing influence on youths they consider to be “social outcasts”. Holden is portrayed as a juvenile who rejects and is rejected by many peers and individuals. Critics hold that people like Chapman and Hinckley come to relate themselves to Holden, the person that nobody understands and that cannot understand anybody else.
Thirty years after its first publication in 1951, The Catcher in the Rye was both the most banned book in United States as well as the second most taught book in public schools.

Well, idealistically that’s what college is supposed to be – in my mind at least. Nowadays its more a factory to indoctrinate and enslave people into the modus of modern life. Shackle them with heavy loans, contrived and juvenile social criticism, teach them the art of pretending to be noble while acting like a savage, the dependence for money and a job, and enough work to keep them busy until they wake up with a degree and a job and absolutely no ability to ever step off the path that has been so firmly laid down. A marginalized, isolated, and completely powerless consumer of goods. Like modern day serfs they are chained to the land.
Well I went off on another tangent… fucking wonderful. So check out the plays that the killer wrote, pretty ridiculous.
