Musical Autobiography

Making movement toward home. I get mixed up sometimes and call this place home. I gotta stop coming here so my brain doesn’t get confused.

In celebration of my escape from this place I wanted to put together a song list that would embody my plight over here for the past couple years. This is tough because its all other peoples’ poetry, but I wanted something that carried with it my thoughts and experiences. Not a small challenge, and I didn’t want to use the same tired old songs that everyone’s heard a million times and hates to even think about.. After some reflection I decided to try and tell the story using only one band… I really had a difficult time choosing the band… It was basically a toss up between the Misfits, Iggy Pop, The Clash, and The Ramones… well here’s what I got – choke it down.

Ramones – Commando

Ramones – Let’s dance

Ramones – I don’t wanna go down to the basement

Ramones – Death of me

Ramones – I’m affected

Ramones – Go mental

Ramones – Here today, gone tomorrow

Ramones – Havana affair

Ramones – Today your love, tomorrow the world

Ramones – California sun
